    Hi good people.
Is it the right time to cut back a very under-maintained and out of control Rose bush? If so, how much can I get away with cutting as it really needs to be much lower as you can see. I obviously know very little about Roses but aim to rectify this next year as I have a cunning plan. Haha! Sorry for rotten photo.
Thanks in advance and have a great day. image.jpeg

Hi @Rustler my friend I would cut it back now but that's only what Woo would do,its not what many Rosarians would do,by at least two thirds or what you are happy with,it will do it good my friend:smile:

I have marked where I would do it but I am only going on what I can see on your photo, enjoy your day:smile:

Thanks so much,Woo. I will get onto it this afternoon. I'm sure it will make the neighbours happy and the missus too. Now where are my new heavy duty gloves? I see a bit of blood leaking, later. The thorns always get me.
Cheers again. Have a good day.

Well, Woo. I took your advice and with a lot of limping around and climbing a set of steps, I have taken them down to suggested level. Hope you look forward to all the following questions on future maintenance and suggestions on new ones to add.
Thanks matey. Looks so much better.
