I've got to say, Gemini, that while I wish the Happy Couple all the best for the future:party: I will be trying to book a vacation in the farthest post in Outer Mongolia to escape the mindless media [trying to think of a polite word, but I'll settle for] frenzy to going to plague this globe for endless weeks:eeew:

So if I fail to get to Outer Mongolia, I'll avoid aany news channels on the TV [or unplug it], don't buy any newspapers, keep the radio switched off so that I can keep my sanity and stay in the real world :yess:

Let me know if you find a good hotel in Outer Mongolia and I'll join you :dbgrtmb:. I may have to leave Mrs shiney at home as she will be glued to the telly.

Although I'm a semi-royalist :heehee: I'm not into media circusses.

I'm very happy for the couple but I'm as interested in their wedding as the one this weekend in Little Bottomley. You are probably asking what wedding? Where? :what:

    You're right :dunno: :heehee: :loll::loll:

I'm marginally interested. In a way I would be in any wedding, because I'm very nosey! I want to see her dress, bridesmaid's dresses, the cake, the flowers and I want to know what they're eating. Then I'm done. But I know it will be wall to wall coverage ALL DAY.

My daughter is very excited, and was rather confused as to why she hadn't been invited. Fortunately church is having a garden party, so we're going to that, which I imagine will be much more fun than going to the real thing!

I hope they have fabulous weather for their big day - that will bring the crowds out and add to the party atmosphere. I went to the celebrations for the Jubilee in 2002 and the mood on The Mall was wonderful. Good luck to them both.

I ignore the republicans - would we really want a President Blair?

Both t'other half and I had a laugh but t'other half thinks they should have waited until after the event ...

Fortunately we will be on holiday at the time and where we will be in the ArrĂ¡bida Natural Park may as well be Outer Mongolia because there is not much there barring lots of wildlife. :yess:

Damn, the hotels in Outer Mongolia are already booked up by husbands trying to get out of the UK before the wedding. :runhills:

I'll see if I can get into a Monastery where they make their own ale and have no contact with the outside world for a few weeks.:yess::heehee:

What is it about women [excuse me ladies:D] that they want to know the in and out of a Duck's.....:what::what::what::what: The colour of the wedding dress, the bridesmaids dresses, how big the cake is, what kind of flowers, etc???:DOH: There was even a program that showed you the rooms Kate would be in while getting ready for the Big Day where they'd showed the toilet, excuse me??!!:eeew:

No, it's the Monastery for me, and I'll book Shiney a nice cell there too:thumbsup::hapfeet:

I'm well looking forward to it and have told Mr Kandy that he can spend the day over the lottie while I spend a pleasant day in front of the telly.:loll:Oh,plus I shall get him to record it so I can watch any bits I might miss when I have to pop out to the kitchen for refreshments :D

Oh,I see there is a programme on now called The Diana Years so must log off or I shall miss it:yess:

Good luck to them they seem a lovely couple I hope they do better than some of the others have.
As far as being interested in the Wedding I am more concerned about the days pay I am going to lose ,being self employed I don't get paid when the firm I work for decides to close for the day.
As if there isn't enough bank holidays this time of year.
    Will I watch it NO.
