I've just been clearing away bits in the garden and pulled what I thought was a weed in a pot. Turns out it's a peanut plant! The shell came out next to it. I've never seen one before. Those sneaky squirrels [IMG] I damaged the plant when I yanked it but decided to put it back in place just to see what'll happen. Highly likely nothing but it made me smile on a very misearble day. Our summers are warm enough for peanuts to grow and they turn up in all sorts of places, there is however not much chance of one producing nuts outside. It is usually too cold for them to become established. I have two at work, one is in a bougainvillea pot under glass but I shall be surprised if that produces anything, they are a novelty if nothing else. [IMG]

Well if it does grow into anything, you shall be the first to receive a gift of a peanut [IMG] I love surprises (good ones that is).
