To share our experiences and help each other in growing the most popular fruit in the world.

Let's hope we have another good growing season like last year.

This year I will be growing:
Black Cherry (My favourite last year - savoury and long lasting and prolific large black cherry)
Floridity (Firm tangy - winner of RHS Taste Test Trial)
Gardener's Delight (Traditional all time favourite - from a 2005 stock line - tasty and tangy)
      Golden Crown (Yellow mellow taste)
Oh Happy Days (Beefsteak Blight Resistant - first time growing for me)
Suncherry (Exception yield of small red cherries)
      Sungold (Tasty golden fruit)

PS I'm not encouraging people to start sowing now, without grow lights they will soon go leggy and weak. Mid March would be about right for the majority.

Trying Crimson Crush this year, undercover and outside, mostly outside. Also growing Shirley, Sungold and probably one more as yet undecided.

With reference to sowing too early as JWK says, if your thinking about getting going sooner rather than later...please view this first.. Sowing seeds too early.

            Steve...:)

                            Tumbling Tom alternative?
I've been growing tumbling toms(red) for ages with no complaints and already have seeds for this year, I'd like to try a different variety along side it this year, any recommendations please.
