In our garden this year we've had fledglings blackbirds, robins, blue tits, jackdaw, long tailed tit and wren - it seems to be a good breeding year.

We don't get Long Tails here (not yet anyway) and only seen a Wren twice, Blue and Coal Tits have disappeared for now. All the others are having a successful breeding seaon as you say, young goldfinches are here too.:dbgrtmb:

We recently have had very a brief first visit from a Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Nuthatch.

Soooooooo cute!!! :doggieshmooze: I spent hours on Saturday watching a chaffinch fledgling catching its breath and being fed by the parents, in a tree just outside our garden. The parents have been using the feeder all winter and spring after only feeding on the ground at first.

You catch some amazing pictures Strongy. :dbgrtmb: You must have your camera ever ready. :)

'We don't get Long Tails here'...........those two words have a different meaning here on the island. Because of superstition that's what R-A-T-S are called, they are never referred to by the other word by anyone, always Longtails. :)

True Sheal, we have a large living room window looking out on our back garden so I always have it to hand. We never had this number of birds in Weymouth.

Joolz, we had a Great Tit briefly visit the table this morning, first one i've seen since March!:blue thumb:
