Today was the first day that the swallows have returned to our place - they were swooping in and out of the barn this morning:)
They seem to be late this year though:confused:

Not seen any swallows yet but I have seen my first swifts of the year, about an hour ago.

Some swallows were seen up here about a week ago.

Same here Pip, thirty Swifts or so were flying around this afternoon over the reserve, as they had just arrived they were feeding frantically. It is good to see them and the Swallows again.
The Sand Martins were first, a few arriving in mid March.
