    I've previously found small toys, knives, forks, spoons pruners and even the remote control from the kitchen TV (that lived on the worktop just above the compost caddy) in our compost.

    Yesterday I found this:

    Neither Mrs Scrungee or I will admit to trying to compost a coconut, and I'm not inclined to bust it open to check how well it's rotted inside.

    Today I found these whilst scavenging in an abandoned compost heap:

    All we could think of was some one must have misheard when asked to putting their shreddings in the compost.

        Do you or your neighbours have gnomes in the garden by any chance? They come to life when nobody's looking you know.

            Scrungee, African swallows can carry a coconut, they grip it by the husk. They must have brought it over and dropped it in your heap.

                            And I was thinking of blaming it on squirrels:

                              This was the final collection of odd stuff that some one chucked into their compost heap:

                              They must have been heeding this advice;

                              I suppose those underpants could have put there by the same squirrels that put a coconut in my compost:

                                I've found toy cars and other stuff kids have thrown in but never a saw! Makes you wonder how people think.
