Thinking of replacing this bamboo, what would you suggest?

Good evening fellow gardeners,

So thinking of throwing out this bamboo plant that I had in the container for ten plus years and looking for suggestions as to what I would replace it with?

I had a camellia before but I didnt really like it in the pot.

The side of the wall faces south and is in my back yard.

Any ideas of something nice I could grow here, or not grow anything or leave well alone!?

I did think perhaps Nandina. Although it's known as "Sacred bamboo" it's not a member of the bamboo family, but you might think it's too similar.

Although the RHS say full sun, I find as long as it gets some sunshine during the day it seems happy enough.

Another option is to put an obelisk in that pot or a tripod of bamboo canes and grow an easy annual climber like Thunbergia.
