          Paintings very detailed like this one had more sense centuries ago when camera did not exist. Nowadays I prefer to have a touch of impressionist on a painting. Otherwise I would go for a print or watercolour.

            Hi Eddie, now that is beautiful art.. Outstanding as you so rightly say.. It makes you feel as if you are there in the painting..
            yes Vicky is right, we do/did have some very talented artists on here, herself included, but his pictures have a real quality to them you rarely see I think..
            Eddie if I could draw & paint like that I would be a very happy person, thanks for sharing.. :thumbsup: Kicked my day off to a good start.. Thank you.. :D

            I have come back to have another look at these stunning paintings again and have looked him up on the net and WOW ... this one I particularly like also ..

              An interesting find Eddie. A bit too photographic for me. However, Check out another American artist, form the last centery, Maxfield Parrish. His pictures just glow!

                I am only familiar with one of his paintings Chris, this autumn one, but it does kinda glow as you say.. ~I got it more for it's beauty & the fact that it looks almost 3D to me at the time.. :D
