    It's a weeder. It loosens the soil round the weed and out it comes. I've more luck with my daisy grubber

        Ah, we mooted the idea of it being a weeder but couldn't work out the role of the hollow round bit.

          Yes a weeder, my dad had one like below although at the time never knew what it did.

          It's a BBQ fork for cooking your sausages - the round bit is for slipping the sausage into before offering it to guests :whistle: :rasp: :heehee:
