    shiney I haven't a clue mate! I just googled British Moths and had never realised how many we have. I couldn't pick it out from the list and will be as interested to discover which it is too:).
    Who's are 'Moth' member?;)

    Oh, what a lovely warm colour. I'm sure that when Walnut comes by, he'll be able to ID it, as he does most of my insects.

    Shiney the nearest I can get is a Oak hook-tip{Drepana hinaria}....moth but I expect I have got it wrong,I usually do;):thumb::rolleyes::D or it might be an Oak Eggar {lasiocampa quercus}

    I thought he had flown in and landed in the glass. Mrs shiney told me later that he had been brought in by Oscar so she put it in the glass until it had recovered. As she didn't know what to do she gave it a half of a cherry with some water on it. Later on it flew off into one of our conifers. :)
