Yes - this product does really work and doesn't poison anything.

You surround vulnerable plants with the granules and slugs and snails cannot cross it as it dries up their slime. It is resistant to heavy rain too.

It comes as a gel too for pot plants and so much better than poisons. Do you really want to kill something as beautiful as this?

Just came back in from the garden, found a very large slug had managed to get over the Slug Stoppa and was eating my autumn crocus in broad daylight... I despair... It did look as if it was enjoying it though. I didn't kill it, I threw it next door, where it will have lots of large weeds to eat.
Wiltshire must be the Slug Paradise of England!

Thats a point I must go out and check our autumn crocus. We ususally have a good display, though the autumn winds normally destroy the blooms

Does it do the slugs any harm Hornbeam?

Liz I do that when the neighbors arn't there, which is most of the time and their garden is a jungle! hopefully the slugs and snails stay there! :D

Naughty really I know but funny. [IMG]

Not as far as I know. The active ingredient is the same as that in deodorants that dry up sweat. So if it doesn't deter slugs at least they will have no under arm BO.... but then they don't have arms do they :D
