I was given this plant (as a small specimen) by friend. It looked a bit pathetic so I repotted it a couple of years ago and now look at it! It's leaves are rapacious and search out any little bit of water or soil to root themselves in.

    But what's it called?
Sorry for the picture quality but the sun was sooo bright today.

It's a great speciman of a Christmas Cactus (Schlumbergera bridgessii), Or it is most likely seeing as it's in flower now an Easter Cactus (Rhipsalidopsis gaetneri) is the techy name, it can live for a very long time and depending on how you pot it re size it will grow accordingly.
Want to grow more? just stick a few leaves in compost.

Christmas cacti usually have segmented leaves. The one in the picture doesnt. Looks more like an Epiphyllum to me.

Definitly an Epiphyllum as Mel says. I have one but it is red. Mine has huge flowers but nowhere near as many as yours has MMD. Does yours only bloom on the leaf tips? Mine blooms anywhere on the leaf.

I'd say epiphyllum, but they are a mixed up bunch of cacti with lots of hybrids that have different growth habits.
Yours looks nice and compact MMD.

A very pretty, healthy looking plant. It definately looks similar to Christmas Cactus, but like Mel says, the leaves are wrong. Unfamiliar with Epiphyllum, are they related? My Mum has a couple of outstanding Christmas Cactus and when they've finished flowering will move them to another room in the house where they will flower again, apparently they like change.
