They're all potentially big plants - do they ahve to go into pots?? They'd do better in the ground! Eucalyptus has a very deep tap root, so if you do put it in the ground, keep it well away from any buildings! Wisteria is quite a big climber, and I don't think it would like being in a container - the buddleia would be ok for a bit, but again, really would be better in the ground! If they have to go in pots, up-end the pots, and drill holes around the base, making sure you have a fair number of them, then the right way up, put in crocks of some sort, old stones, with the biggest at the bottome, and some slightly smaller ones above,- or polystyrene bits broken off old pacing material - and then put in compost - multi-purpose is ok - put in the plant and firm the compost around it - and water in well. Stand back with enjoyment for a job well done, and wait for the plant to start flowering!! (Well, maybe not the eucalyptus!) ;)

    POTS A NO-NO...
MUCH TO BIG EVEN FOR A VERY LARGE POT.
    AS OTHERS HAVE SAID.
DID YOU GET THE ADVICE FROM WHERE YOU GOT THEM IF THEY WOULD BE SUITABLE FOR POTS?
I WOULDN'T EVEN TRY TO PUT THEM INTO POTS IN THE FIRST PLACE..THE GARDEN IS THE PLACE FOR THEM ALL.
EUCALYPTUS CAN GET TO A HEIGHT OF 30' PLUS
WYSTERIA CAN GO AS FAR AS YOU WILL LET THEM 50' PLUS
BUDDLEJA... CAN GROW UP TO 10'-12' A YEAR

I have some 3 year old buddleia cuttings which are 2' tall but only because I keep pruning them... and when I moved the pots yesterday I had a struggle because the roots had got out through the drainage holes over winter. Fond as I am of pots, not a good idea!
