3 poems about 3 different plants. I'll post the answers in a few days' time.

    1.
    Amazingly, as autumnâ??s cold blood
wept into the slits of summer
the rubbery ringlets spilt beyond the stoneware,
tangling together like thick green snakes
    competing for a female;
massed millions warming flesh against flesh,
    preparing to discharge.
    --------------------------------------------------
    2.
    Jutting like flags
    purple declarations emanate
    alternately; stitched along
    a rigid stem,
    purply protruding,
    upright with appendages
    just like rhubarb
    or a crucifix.
    -------------------------------------------------
    Symmetrical, like wreaths of ice,
    wound in swirled self-prophecies,
    flags rekindle, gemmed
    inflorescences, spiked skulls,
glass galleries refusing to be moved.

    Plucked from heathy moorland,
    tendrils sown into the compost,
    they stood, the ruined idols,
    in carved stone circles.

    In their mock-pots, crevices,
the tapering reptilians glared at us
    like secrets

and twenty years later they would not budge
without raking up their whole stone beds,
causing their grave-like homes to threaten crumble.
So there they stayed, and stay there still,
a decade since we left them, ranged like grimaces
in front of what is now
    someone elseâ??s home.
