My lemon thyme is going brown, and the plain thyme is looking limp and sorry for itself too. I'm pretty sure I'm watering them enough, maybe too much? They were planted out into the garden from pots bought in Homebase three weeks ago and initially were thriving. Will be grateful for any advice forum members have for me.....?

Hi Jackcat. Thyme is pretty tough stuff in the right conditions.
I grow it in near gravel with very little soil and I never water it.
If you don't have a gravel path to plant it in to, I would suggest you lift the thyme, make a little planting hole of half soil, half gravel, and plant it into that.
Forget about watering. I think it will soon pick up.

Thank you, Alice. I never have any luck with thyme either so I'll take your hints on board.
