    Morning all,

We inherited a summerhouse when we moved in last year, it's not in the best of condition with quite a few pieces of timber (cedar) needing to be replaced but I thought I'd have a go given the price of a new one. Would I be better off going to the likes of Jewson's to try and source the timber or given that the pieces I require are of various dimensions would a timber merchant be a better option? Thanks very much & hope you all have a good day

Depends on the section that you require and if you want cedar.
Cedar could be a bit tricky to find unless you can find a shed manufacturer willing to sell you some in the correct section.
    Is it shiplap?

Pressure dipped softwood is much more available, and economical than cedar. Remember to apply clear wood preservative to any cut surfaces, the dipped timber will only be protected on the external surfaces to a (minimal) depth. A good variety of sizes are available from Jewson or Wickes, the latter selling shorter lengths as well.:
