Do you ever get times when you are just so very tired you cant be bothered to get out of the chair

Times when your that tired you cant sleep

Times when feeding the kids total junk seems a good idea

Times when even the dogs might not get a walk

Time when the garden might even not get a look in

Thats how I am feeling today - god knows why. I only worked till 2pm today lol

Just thought I would share as there is no one at home worth moaning to yet :hehe:

Try drinking more water, sometimes dehydration can cause tired feelings.

Personally I work outside the home 45 hours weekly, then the home stuff, then the garden stuff and all the other stuff. There are evenings I say, thats it I've done enough and stop. Things to do will always be there.

Stress saps your energy big time. You're not stressed at work are you?

A change of routine can also affect your sleep patterns.

Oh and yes, I regularly get like that, but you just have to get on with it otherwise you go stale:)

Glad its not just me then :)

Water - drink loads of fluids all day

Stress - constantly, but probably more stress at home than at work lol

And your right, you just have to get on with it ........ off to load the dishwasher, swop the washing over, cook dinner, take the dogs out, water the garden, then visit my nephew as its his birthday, sort all the kids out ...... oh and plenty of housework in between lol

Luckily, not me Sam but i really sympathise with you.I did get like that now and again when i was a young mum.

Now i can pace myself, so nowts a bother :D

Our car rolled down the bank into a 4/4s towbar on Saturday. No damage to that but a bill of £815 to us because we don't want to claim on our insurance. There was a time i would have blown a great big fuse. Now, i know that won't do the car or me any good.

Chin up and isn't it great to have a little moan :old::)

You have to make time for yourself. I ran myself into the ground just after my son was born, applying the logic that there is plenty of time to sleep when I'm dead. That logic turned out to be very flawed, and I ended up off work for 6 weeks and was no use to anyone.

Now I set aside half an hour a day when it is just me, no work to do, no interuptions, no thinking about work or anything, just me escaping for a while. Sometimes I hide in the spare room and just sit and read, sometimes I stick my head phones on a listen to some of my type of music (which is often not other people's type of music), and the odd time I'll just get in my car and go for a cruise round the block or take myself for a short stroll in the countryside.

Whatever works for you is right, but you do need some 'me time' on a regular basis. If your less stressed then you're more effective, so that half hour a day pays dividends for everyone else too.

Update on car puncture.. this will stress me.
    Tis a slow puncture.
Man in Tyre and exhaust says it may be repaired depends on where the puncture is. Cost of repair £17:50
If it cant be repaired he Says " A new Michelin 205/55ZR 16 will cost me £91:27. They are the most expensive"
    Typical...
Any bets on what its to be?
    Repair at £17:50? or
    new at £91:27?
    Tomorrow am is my appointment

AAAARRRRR. Flipping heck you two, yes I know exactly how you feel. I am having a grizzly day myself but I still went out and did the garden, washing in & out etc. Was in bed for 8 last night and am starting to feel my eyes close now. As for the unexpected bills we always have something go wrong every few months. We try to stay as chilled as possible - sometimes works sometimes we each have a blow up:)

The best thing I think you can do, is go to bed. Doesn't matter if it's early. Shut everything out and let your body and mind relax.

    cheers

Well yes its very true that everyone needs 'me' time. OH would argue I get plenty of that when I am on here lol .... what he doesnt understand is that between reading posts I am usually dashing off to swop washing over, and endless other bits.

Sorry to hear about your accident Pippa :( Its good no one was hurt though!

Capney - if your luck is anything like ours, then it will be a new tyre ... i hope its not for you!

Talking of repair bills ... this year alone we have had our fair share :-

    Hot water packed up
Toilet started leaking and needed replacing
Bay windows all needed replacing as the seals went
Back door decided not to open one day so the double glazed lock unit needed replacing
Our LCD TV in the bedroom stopped turning on so had to get a new one
Powerful filter has just packed up on 5ft turtle tank .... still to be sorted!

And thats without the car going for its MOT next week (prob wont pass) and countless other things like kids loosing trainers, PE kits and anything else they cant be bothered to look after lol

Guess I cant moan too much though - have still managed to spend over £1500.00 on the garden this year and counting ! ...... which is why OH is working extra shifts in London to pay for it all lol .... rather him than me though!!

Anyway, housework done (semi), kids Chiev's & garlic wedges in oven ..... just dog walk, plant watering and visit to nephew to tackle now :)

As Dennis Norden used to say, we are all suffering from that terminal disease called life.
