Tiny brown soil insects

Hi All,

Just a quick question, I have a vegetable planter and in the soil there are hundreds of tiny brown bugs that sort of 'hop' and 'fly' about. Ive recently picked a load of radish to find that these radish plants have small nibble holes on them, I'm thinking these must have been caused by the same unidentified bug, as I can't find any other insects around.

Ive provided a few pictures to help

If anyone is able to help me identify them and/or provide a solution, that would be great

Hi Shaney they look like "Spring tails " they do no harm to plants etc

Thanks for your help! Any idea whats the best way to get rid of them? Is their a spray or anything? I know people say they are harmless but I'd rather the stuff we are growing didn't come with loads of little bites taken out of them haha!

A bit of protein that, nowt wrong with it.

 

its not the spring tails taking bites out of them , I would suggest pop in to a garden center and have a look whats on offer.
