I have a few iris bulbs in a pot indoors and the leaves are sometimes partly coated with tiny white mites, too small to be whitefly I think. I currently gently squeeze them off with my fingers.

I guess they were in the soil/compost mix.

Any ideas how to 'organically' get rid of them please?

Any chance of a photo, however vague?
    Are they doing any damage?
Are you going to plant the iris outside later on?
If they aren’t doing any damage and you are going to plant them out, could you not just let them get on doing their mitey things?

Thanks, I'll have to wait for some more to appear then check them under a magnifying glass.
