Very nice, but when I saw the topic title I thought it was someone's "specialised subject" in "Mastermind!"

They look lovely and very different. When I saw the title I thought they were going to be something akin to loo roll dollies! Thank goodness...........they are NOT!

They are lovely, especially the little log cabin, it is so neat! :gnthb:

What kind of wood do you use and how long does it take to make one?

They have only been made using many different hardwoods, the light colours are either Maple or Ash and sycamore.

The dark colours are many, Black walnut, sapele, purpleheart, wenge, meranti, the log cabin was oak and iroko.

They usually take about three days from getting hold of a piece of timber from my store and the finished box, short sessions in mornings and afternoons. These are made during the summer months, too cold and damp in my workshop during the rest of the year.

    Smashing stuff,

Do you use Yandles timber merchants for supplies ? They are at Martock, just down the road from me & 5 mins off the A303

Yes, the purple heart & black walnut came from that source. Are you a woodwork hobbyist?
