To all my friends here on GC

Hi everyone, I think it's time to put you all in the picture.

My apologies for not being around much in recent weeks. I have also been in Essex for the last week and a half having attended family 'business' down there.

Meanwhile it's set to continue over the coming month or so as I will be relocating to Inverness-shire in Scotland from the island on 16th September. A new home and a new life as my husband Pete has just retired. I now have just a week and a half to pack up the contents of my home and that interrupted by last minute appointments.

I will be back in full attendance here on GC as soon as I can but meanwhile there will be just brief visits.

Keep those gardens of yours up to scratch and behave yourselves while I'm away!

Hi @Sheal, I wish you all the very best with your move my friend. Please look after yourself. I hope Pete enjoys his retirement. I do hope the family business which you are attending to is soon sorted out.
I shall look forward to hearing all about your new house & garden.

This is exciting! You get to create a new garden and you have lots of cheap full time labour (retired oh) available !

I don't think so Lori, my other half hates gardening/gardens and I had to give him instructions while I was away on how to start my petrol mower, he mowed under duress!

 

Same here. Though mine will mow the lawn (guessing he did not like it when I mowed and not noticing the height was different on each side, shingled effect ) he will not lift a shovel or ply shears. It is a good thing because I can do whatever I wish with no grumbling from the peanut gallery
