We have a small lawn at the front of our house which faces due south. We live in a clay area with all the problems that this brings.

Annually for about the last 5 years I have tried to make the lawn look good, fed it, scarified it but still with the result that more than a few days without rain and it looked like desert scrub!

A few weeks ago I decided I'd had enough, bit the bullet and got someone in to turf it. Now I look out of the window and I see a lush dark green lawn, it looks good, I feel proud and it puts the neighbours to shame!!

So my advice... if youre thinking about it.. go for it!!

Im assuming you had the clay dug out and the turf laid on fresh topsoil.
