To keep in pots or put in garden?

    Hello just after some advice please.
    Recently moved out of my previous home and living in rental for 6 months till we move again,
    My question is shall i leave my beloved plants in their pots or put them in ground for abit? some look a little squashed in their pots the plants are a variety of hostas grasses perienals.
    Any help would be great

      Hi if you are going to be moving on within 6 months that puts you bang into July/August, the main growing season.

      I would leave as they are, if you plant now nothing much will happen as the plants are dormant. Also they will not have a good root system to survive any freezing weather we will get.

      My suggestion is leave in pots until you can permanently plant, any growing too large for their pot will need "potting on" once you see signs of new growth in Spring.

        ok i will keep them in their pots i think all will need repotting. When i do in spring shall i add a little rotted manure in aswell as they probably be kept in their pots till end of the year! Shame as im going miss all the growing season and got to fight the urge not to buy any plants or sow any seeds. thanks for your advice!
