Most of us know its beneficial to have Toads in the garden, but we have them in the house!!

We had toads in the garden when we moved in two years ago and the garden was grass only, we still have many toads now even though we do not have a pond yet (planned for next year).

Two nights ago it rained quite heavily and as usual for us our back door was wide open and I guess a few Toads decided to "shelter" in our house! That night I found one in the Kitchen and one in the hallway, and last night we found one in the living room.

I've heard of extending the house into the garden, but not the other way round..:lollol:

    Steve...:)

Great to know you have some around :gnthb: as all our amphibians are seriously declining.:(
I also have toads indoors (but in an aquarium). :)

all amphibians are welcome in my patch
i have many frogs, no toads however
they both relish eating slugs and snails
love hearing they find indoors so welcoming
has been a bad year for frog spawn and i have seen a decline in adult frogs this year

My own frog population has grown quite considerably this year. For a while now, I have been nearly stepping of young frogs and therefore have become wary of where I put my feet when in the garden. I love that video about toads and what they eat, especially where at the end, he pops one into his mouth... delicious!
