Last year I bought a squirrel-proof bird feeder as I have been battling with the little blighters for years and never winning. Pleased to say this really works - although they have tried to get in and gnawed off the little plastic bits for the birds to stand on (which you can see on the pic) but it's still going strong and this year the squirrels have ignored it so far. Only good for small birds though.

So today, pottering in the garden, Mr S sits down for a quick cigarette - asked me for my (new) cam - lo and behold no sooner had he been playing about with it than the birds arrived. Now I must say my birds seem a bit fussy they always throw more on the floor than they eat - but flavour of the day seems to be the sunflower seeds

Waiting in the wings for all the cast off's was this little sweetie - kept dodging in and out of a bush - and I think it had been in the greenhouse overnight too - found a small hole at the back - and it had eaten the snail pellets (organic ones safe for pets, children and obviously mice :dbgrtmb:) I don't mind it being there as long as it doesnt eat my plants.

Nice to see, sumbody.:snork: A lot of people hate Meeces to Peeces but I don't mind them in the garden so long as they don't get out of control. Having said that I haven't seen any in the garden for years, maybe because of the cats. Jenny the Cat does sometimes sit by the Compost heap watching the base but I've got a feeling it's the Hedgehog that's got her curious.:cat-kittyandsmiley:
