This one is on a windswept hill near the sea and the rain and hail were coming in sideways, didn't hang about... DSCI0003.JPG

That church and landscape must be very old. Older even than colour.

It looks very foreboding, Ziggy, like some of the Churches up on the Pennine Moors when the light is bad and gloomy.:coffee::snorky:

That's a fair point. I wonder why there are churches and even villages in the pennines. The weather up there can get pretty horrendous very, very quickly. I wonder why people thought it would be good to live up top when there's perfectly good land within just a few miles either side of the top.

@Zigs quote........Cold hearted orb that rules the night, removes the colours from our sight, red is grey and yellow white, but we decide which is right, and which is an illusion.

'Late Lament'/'Nights in White Satin' - Moody Blues? One of my all time greats! :)

Monochrome looks better with churches on dull days, more spooky :yikes:

                    They...

                    A. Thought it was nearer to Glod.

                    B. Didn't want to get eaten by the wolves and bears in the valleys, or catch malaria.

Incidentally, the latin name for wild garlic means bears onions :yikes:

Doubt it. Not in the pennines. The pennines defy logic. They're full of water despite being high ground.

Sort of @Zigs. Mind you the Moody Blues were quite sober as my taste in music at the time was quite diverse and strange.
