Today's Sink - Last one of the series

    Last pickings from the garden today, that's one of Loli's Celeriacs :)

    Made a nice soup and followed it up with my favorite pudding, Leeks and Custard :biggrin:

              You can cut it into chunks and roast them.
              You can puree them (but do add a potato when you boil them so that it has something to "bind" it with .. otherwise it can be a bit on the wet side).
              You can grate them raw into a salad (but you need a little sprinkle of lemon juice to stop it turning a dull grey/brown colour).
              You can make soup with them (as above).
              You can add them to stews/casseroles and braises to give a depth of flavour.
              They can replace cabbage if grated as a part of a coleslaw.
              You can cube them and have them as a side vegetable (steamed).
              You can grate them, with some grated potato, and turn them into rosti cakes (like an American "hash brown").
              You can cut them into "chunky" chips and roast them (really scrummy!) and serve instead of oven chips.

              They are a starchy carb, so don't eat too, too many of them = calories and flatulence :oops:
