    Hi,
I have a new, last autumn, acer that I have been really careful with in a patio pot.
However I came home to find a branch, a third of the plant, was snapped off.
I have trimmed it and popped it into some cutting compost.
Is there any chance this will work?
Anything I can do to improve the chances?

Little dear spends ages watering with his empty can but is a tad heavy handed.

    Thanks
    David

    Hi David
Sadly acers do not take easily from cuttings, so your chances are slim in the extreme
The remaining two thirds of your plant will bush out and may well throw out a new leader or you could maybe train a new branch as one?

Simply a little stake and a tie until it learns to grow straight up and not sideways :)
