Grown tomato plants form seed .. (several varieties) ... they are about 8” high indoors and looking strong, as soon as I put them in growbags in greenhouse they go very limp, within 48Hrs there are whitish patches on the leaves ..
These patches will no wipe off, it is ‘though’ the leaf, rather than on it.

    Any ideas ...pic attached

Has the leaf turned white, or has something nibbled away the 'flesh' of the leaf and leaving the top skin behind? Cheers, Tony.

What's the max/min temperatures in that greenhouse? I'm wondering if they're getting scorched during the day.

I'm tending to think along the same lines as Scrungee.
They are being suddenly moved to a different environment.
Leaves not used to direct sunlight will burn very easily.

They are alongside other Tom plants which are thriving (bought as plants)

If it is they are not 'used to sunlight' will they recover ?

Having grown them indoors I think perhaps you should have acclimatised them in the greenhouse before putting them in grow bags. The sudden change in temperature combined with potting on has probably put them into shock.

I think its stronger light in the greenhouse than the house. Is so then yes they will recover. Chucking some fleece over them for the first few days (if the sun is strong) would perhaps have helped.

I tried taking 4 new plants out of house today .. and out into the sun to 'acclimatise'; ..... they are now all but dead, limp pathetic things.

Guess I should I not be putting them outside at all and putting them in greenhouse by day an in house at night ??

I'm almost tempted to give up growing by seed

It is a little cold for tomatoes, tonight there is a frost forecast for my area, so I'll go and cover mine in the greenhouse with fleece.
