My beefsteak tomato is wilting at the top, just the top 1" or so. I've made sure that it was watered (checked the compost). It's in the same compost as all my other tomatoes and no problems with those. Theres 3 set tomatoes on the truss under the wilt. I'll try to get a picture up at some point today, but any suggestions? Really don't want to lose the plant.

Do you mean wilting or curling? Curling up is normal - are they in growbags or pots?
Might be over watering as a first guess.
    Pictures will help.

definately wilted, looked like it needed water. It's in a pot like all my other tomatoes are. At first I thought it probably needed a drink as it was nice yesterday, but when I checked the compost it didn't need any, but it was still the same this morning. I've cut the wilted part off now, looked all over the plant and theres no wilted leaves or stalks anywhere else. All my other tomatoes are fine. The only thing I did yesterday was change the position so it wouldn't get as much of the breeze in the garden and would get more sun. Perhaps it didn't like the change.

maybe it had put a few roots down through the bottom of the pot and when you moved it they broke off? The lowest roots on a tom plant take up water so it could be that, in which case you could try spraying the leaves with water (but not in full sunlight) - and/or move it back to a more shady place until it recovers.

I didn't think of that. It's done well today, lots of flowers open now and no more wilted bits.

Panic over, lol, lifted up the pot and looked underneath and JWK was right I'd snapped a little bit of root off. The tomato plant is now staying put, not moving it unless it really needs to be moved.
