This is whats its all about...:gnthb:
I made up some tomato soup today with my dwindling supply of this seasons armish tomatos.
    The best bit is..
    Home grown tomatos
    Home grown onions
    Home grown dried chillies.
    Home grown basil

Just add some sugar, salt, dried basil, tomato puree, tomato sauce, some fresh basil on top with a dollop of yoghurt.
I would have had a chunk of homemade bread if I had time to make.
    Wonderful

    Simple...
    Just sweat down the onions.
Chop toms and add to onions.(Do not add water)
Add dried chilly, sugar, salt, tomato puree and some dried basil.
Cook for bit and give it a zapping with your blender.
Serve with fresh home made bread fresh basil on top and dollop of yoghurt...

That looks sooooooo tasty! Bet you really did enjoy that :) Such a satisfaction when you can make something like that, from scratch, and from items you have grown yourself - delicious!

    Lovely soup Capney.
I make my own soups too with all my own vegetables and home made bread.

I've just back from holiday in Italy. Staying in a really lovely 4* hotel.
I ordered the tomato soup - it was out of a tin ! Very disappointing.
