Is it too early to start having tomatoes showing! I am a new gardener this year and very keen!! I am trying cherry and medium. I have a few flowers on them but that is it... They are in the garden and I am looking after them with Epsom Salts (thank you Kirsten) and Veg tom food

"I have a few flowers on them but that is it"

Takes a while from first flowers to picking first fruit - about 3 weeks I would guess (perhaps longer if outside rather than in a greenhouse)

Hi Janette; If they are in a greenhouse then give the plants a little tap every time you water them, that helps the flowers pollinate themselves (as insects or the wind don't work too well inside). You should notice the flowers wither and fall off soon with the tiny tomatoes just starting to form.

Not sure of the question really, are you asking if it's too early for your tomatoes to be flowering?
It depends on when you planted them but I have one truss quite low down that has 7 full sized (but still green) tomatoes on it, further up, the flowers have died off and I have pea sized fruits, and at the top the flowers are open.
If you have just flowers at the moment then that's fine... the fruits will come. As JWK says, make sure you tap the canes from time to time to help pollinate.

most of my cherry toms are already fruiting up and a fair few of my gardeners delights are flowering.
