Not much going on here but the Red Pear seeds i put in on friday have appeared today, 4 days to germinate in compost with the assistance of a vivarium heat mat.

I decided to root a chilli cutting just for the heck of it, i hear its not easy getting them to root as they have quite woody stems. Anyway, I took a soft green branch off one of the skotch bonnets chilli plants i`ve been keeping alive over winter. Will have to see what happens..if anything

    Hi Penny,
Its just sitting there for now, i think its saying.. "This water is great! i don`t need to grow any roots"
The scotch bonnets were planted in october last year, the seeds came from a grocery store scotch bonnet chilli, i never buy chilli seeds.
I`ve had to keep topping them to keep them compact over the winter, they are quite branchy little devils but with a huge root system.

Good luck with your chilli`s too.

The scotch bonnet chilli cutting has keeled over and given up the ghost ..no big surprise.
