as you now my first year at growing i took abt 6 sideshoots off some tom plants a while ago potted some in compost outside, what i did was i just popped them in the various tubs i had like cabbages strawberries etc they all wilted straight away, so threw them away at least i thought i did.
i was sick of the birds nicking me strawbs so popped them back in the greenhouse and was watering this morning and low and behold there 2 tomato plants in with me strawbs about a foot high i was gobsmacked.

Any side shoots that have flowers forming on them, pot them up and grow as house plants. The plants don't grow very big but the toms grow to normal size. Sort of bonzai toms :) I've no pics I'm afraid but they are great talking points when you have visitors.
