toms.

    got too many toms in the greenhouse cannot move in there so if i put some of them outside do they need hardening off if so how long.

    Hi Hammer although I did harden off most of our plants from the greenhouse into the garden I didn't with the toms I just put them outside as like yourself things were getting too crowded in the greenhouse although it was a couple of weeks ago that I did that and all are doing fine and all ours are outdoor toms anyway.

    Others might tell you to harden them off first but you never know all might be ok doing what I did although truth be told we have grown far too many toms and if some of them had suffered we would have been able to cope with the loss.

    It's our first year growing toms from seed so as you can imagine I'm not the best person to advise you but I'm sure some kind soul will put your right.Good luck.Hel.xxx.
