Would it be too late to sow flower seed to flower for this year and also veg sweet corn and beans in pots etc.

I usually sow in trays /pots rather than straight in the ground.as we have better luck this way .

My carrots I sow in July to beat the fly

I did sow some earlier but germination wasn't too good.

Same problem here, PS. Now the soil's warm and we've had some rain, I'm going to try direct-sowing sweetcorn and beans and re-sowing carrots. We have quite a long growing season, so might get something before autumn :)

I sowed stocks today, they should flower by September. Also sown Brussels sprouts, calabrese, japanese cabbage, chard and beetroot. I'm sowing a few French beans soon to give a late crop. As well as all the quick growing salad stuff.

I'm going to sow a late cucumber just as an experiment to see if it extends the season.

I sowed beetroot, kale, psb, swede and winter cabbage yesterday. Loads of lettuce and a few endive for salad a couple of days before.
