It didn't even get to 30oC today but went "into town" a tiny place about 6kms from here, to check the PO box and book the car in for it's pre-service inspection and MoT. Came home and t'other half pick-axed a hole to transplant the Callistemon vim in, having dug it up yesterday to put the Ruby grapefruit tree in its place next tothe lime tree. Luckily he hit some good earth under the rock so that's in now. Too warm to be doing such work at our age  T'other half then continued tiling the outdoor living room floor while I stayed in in the cool watching Globe Trekker - Ian Wright in Bolivia today. He's our favourite and Bolivia was neat. [IMG] But it's still too warm now 28,8oC to go up the lane looking for and hauling back large rocks to put around the C vim. I did sausage and eggs for brunch so no cooking tonight. Cheese and salad, me'thinks :D

Hope your day was nice [IMG]

    Hi all,
Cornish weather here - alternating burning sun with grey skies and showers. But have been putting the edgings along my new border since I got home from work. Shattered now but have finished it so feeling slightly smug [IMG] But going to have to carry on and prepare a nice dry spot for my very poorly Giant Echium seedling. Looks more like a runt than a giant :D

We've had rain and clouds most of this week, but it hasn't cooled down much. As Rosa says, it's very hot at night, even in my stone cottage.
I think my sweet peas have grown about 3" this week and at last have some flowers coming. Mine are in a sunny place, my neighbours' are in the shade and flowering.[I grew 3 packets of seed and we shared seedlings].
