Took a day off from the garden today...

    and went shopping, and for a pub lunch.

    Firstly to find cane furniture for the conservatory, we didn't find any but bought 6 dining chairs instead, and we didn't get much change from �£1000.

    We then went on to 3 garden centres where we spent another small fortune on plants amonst other things.

    Lobelia vendrariensis

    Trictris ââ?¬â?? Dark form

    There are a couple I have been searching for quite a while so I am glad to have found the Trictris (Toad Lily) and the Lobelia which will go well with my cardinalis.

    They look lovely..whats that crinkly one by the hosta?...

    A lady fern with a bad hair day. hence 'Frizelliae' (Tatting fern)

    Interesting plants Rich. I had to google some I didn't know. That Tricytris looks intriguing, tall and long flowering. - Wish I had more space.

    Bought some trycyrtis dark ones and ordinary last spring. They flowered for ages starting late summer and have overwintered with no problems. I loved their spotty markings. Common name 'Toad lilies'!

    The first time I heard of toad lilies was at this site. I saw pictures and had to have some.
