Interesting competition Marley but I have one question ...

You say the competition will close when there are 30 photos but that each competitor may enter two photos ... so, does that mean for example 15 entrrants who each submit two or 10 entrants who submit one plus 10 who submit two and if there's 29 photos already up the last person can only submit one ...... :cnfs:

:thumb: Yes you have it in one Vicky.. :thumb:

It is done on a 1st come basis.. So yes some of you may have 1 entry, some may have 2 shots.. I wanted to see if we could make it a little more fast moving than the other competitions... There are few rules so thought this would be a good idea for everyone to have a go... :gnthb:

:) Thank you Marley. Another question, however ... can it/they be photos that have been previously entered in other competitions in the past year?

 Hmm thought about that Vicky & I think to keep everything fair for all entrants the answer has to be no.. So I have added the following guideline for all to see.. :thumb:

Marley would it be better to run another comp of the 30 photos for the ones that are going to 'Enhance' their photos as I never do anything to my photos and other members are probably the same but we are at a disadvantage over those members that add or take things away to their photos to make them better quality. It would make it fairer all round as I would rather vote for a natural taken photo rather than one that has been touched up so to speak:)

    Hi Kandy,
I see what you are asking but I wanted to have one comp where just about anything goes.. For a little variety..:flag:

As you will see I have set up another comp since & I am still working on another 2 at present.. We still have the monthly comp set up & now the Macro flower one both set up for "As taken no enhancements"..!!!
I know allot of you do not enhance photos in any way so there will always be at least one where no enhancements are allowed..
These is just a change around period & I am sure everyone will be catered for Kandy don't worry..:)

Kandy, I have to say that my two are not enhanced, my Anemone taken recently and my cats last June on the roof, although I do enter the enhanced comps and I think most of the others are not also ... I do love your gull photo, so up close and personal ....

Marley, I must say this does seem a very, very popular comp ... so well done you ... :luv:

    Hi Marley and Victoria,

Marley yes I can see what you mean but I myself thought it would be fairer on people who put up photo's as they are in their natural state as oppossed to them being touched up in photoshop etc.I seem to remember there was a bit of contraversy{sp} a few months back when someone on here was winning the comps and then it was found that they were using a programme or something to alter their photos so that they were perfect which in a way was unfair to everyone else.I will just go with the flow and see how the comps progress.:)

Many thanks for putting in the time and effort into these comps as I am sure it must take up a lot of your valuable time where you could be gardening instead:D

Thankyou Victoria,I expect I could have put the gull photo in the Macro comp but it didn't exsist when i entered him in the 30day comp.I took the photo when we were in Somerset last year and we went to Lynton & Lynmouth. It was chucking it down with rain and this gull was standing on a wall and I practically stuch my camera right into his face to gets some photos, but had to use the macro setting to get him in focus:D

The other photo I took from a moving car so was very pleased at how well it came out especially on the black and white setting and it reminded me of the drawings that AW did in his walking books:)

Your two photos are very good especially the Anemone, lovely to see spring flowers with such vibrancy:)
