    Now that is a very good idea - something to keep me busy in the garden when theres nothing else to do at the mo - thanks for sharing! Im always very close to stabbing my eye out on mt canes cos they are always falling over! :rolleyes:

    Great idea OKtarine,Can you come up with any ideas to stop the rake handle hitting me in the eye every time i go in the shed,I usually hang it up ,but Mrs Owl leaves it on the floor ,just inside the door(ouch)

    Haaa! There are 5 of us in the UK.
    1.The most (co---on)numerous is a better option,
    The Tawny Owl.
    2.Alas the poor Barn Owl(the most in decline)
    3.The Short Eared owl(The least numerous)
    4.Then there is the long Eared(the most elusive)
    5.And then there is the Little Owl(our latest arrival)

    So you are not going to include Eagle Owls then.
    Yes I know the Eagle owls probably bred from escapees but like the ring necked Parakeet, they will be included in the RSPB's list one day(unless they are irradicated for some reason).

    Can we include the Snowy Owl as it has bred on Fetlar and makes the ocassional appearance now and then, it would push the numbers up one more. [​IMG]
