I saw daffodils on sale to-day, my roses are still flowering, and the Hydrangia is giving a second show

I know just what you mean. My daffs are coming up in the same bed as cornflower still in full bloom. I have a rose that has buds only just opening. I put in some bare root fruit bushes and they are chucking out fresh green leaves. It`s been very odd this year.

My bulbs are starting to poke there heads out( thinking of putting hats on them for the weekend cold snap) and my sweetpeas have new green growth on them, very odd season.

We`ll all have to start thinking on our feet to get the most out of our gardens. It feels like we are losing our seasons in a way.

My bulbs are poking their heads up too, but I'd pulled all the sweet peas and dahlias perhaps I've been too hasty, or has someone up there messed about with the calendar.?

Wee.....I left my sweetpeas out so the seeds develop fully, orineraly I would have pulled them out by now and left them as I noticed some green.

Well that's another mistake I've made, I rescued a few seeds when the pods turned black, but was too impatient to wait for more.

We have had Snowdrops showing their heads for a couple of weeks now and our Daffodils have had greenery for a bit longer. In the past we have noticed that a lot of the spring stuff starts to show growth at this time of the year and then when it gets colder they seem to stop and stay as they are and then when the weather warms up again off they go again.:)
