I have a hanging basket hanging off a low level branch of a lilac tree next to the house and the recent winds have caused the hanging basket to take a battering. The trailing nepeta is now hanging by a thin single stem?? but there is lots of growth below it. Do I just leave it to grow out, or should I cut off? If I cut it off, can you take cuttings from nepeta and successfully grow them - if so, how do I do this?

Sounds daft but I`d tape it to support it. Chances are it breaks when trying to do it though ?
