I put plastic trellis up to tie it to, but am I supposed to tie in every branch, or will I have to prune some too?
The variety I have is burkwoodii, the flowers are a rather feeble shade of blue, is this usual? Also, if you touch them at any stage in their opening, they fall off. Are they supposed to do this?
    Thanks for any help :)

    Here's a pic then

As you can see, there are loads of little branches growing forward, away from the fence. Do I try and tie every one of them in, or should I chop some off?
    Thanks :)

Looks fine to me, just as it is. Tie back any that grow a foot or two long, that you want to keep. Prune back anything that sticks out too far and gets in the way.

Daisybelle, Ceanothus are what`s known as wall shrubs. This means they are quite happy growing against walls, using them as supports. I wouldn`t worry about tying in every branch. For pruning, just keep the shrub tidy but basically let it do it`s own thing. As for the flowers falling off when you touch them, don`t touch them.:D:rolleyes:
