I've got 3 Blueberry plants in a pot and want to move one into it's own container. I think that if I wait to about November and then transplant it while it's dormant that should be the right time. Does that sound about right, guys?

Yes cos you move deciduous plants when the leaves have dropped off, so it could even be october.

Hi, T.O. That sounds about right. Thankyou. The leaves are turning a lovely red at the moment. I wanted to a be a bit careful 'cause, technically, they're my g-daughter's, not mine. If I damage it, I'll get "the look". The "verbals" I can suffer but not "the look". Sorry about the delay in replying but I've been on the "hols" and am just catching up.
Hi mira. I bought them as plants (Guardian Supplement) and they have been fine, thanks to all the advice and suggestions. I find their stuff to be a bit more expensive than some but the product is always good. [IMG]

Don't forget they need ericaceous compost cos they're acid loving plants. ;)

Thanks T.O. but I learnt that the hard way. The first plants I bought died because of that. (just went brown and curled up)
I've even got a water butt so they can have rain water. When the g-children "help" me with the watering they know that only the "special" water can be used.
Do you think I could transfer it with all the shoots on it? Or should I cut them back?

Depends on how big you want your bushes and how old they are, fruit is grown on last years wood so be carefull how you prune. If you type blueberry bush pruning in the google box it will give you loads of web sites to look at, hope that helps. ;) My sister has one bush but she does'nt prune it but it's only small, she gets quite a good crop every year.

Well, I didn't prune it and it's got little buds just forming at the tips. Looks like it's gonna be O.K. Thanks for the advice, guys. [IMG]
