My daughter's tree ferns have survived the Winter in the Channel Islands well.
She noticed that all the tree ferns in Jersey Zoo have had all their fronds cut off and wonders whether she should do the same with hers.

What the advice on tree fern pruning - does anyone know??

I just cut them off when they begin to shrivel and the new ones appear
Both of my plants are doing very well :)

I'm a big fan of watching what contract and council gardeners do and once they prune, cut down or plant, I do likewise! I figure that they get paid a lot of money to make a public place look good, so they must know what they're doing!
