            Morning @Zigs yes it can be embarrassing at times when you have a tree outside your front door and visitors ask what tree is that,I usually say its a lolly pop tree because of its shape and anyway I only know about Roses:heehee:

                  Are leaves opposite or alternate?
                  Would like to see a clear pic showing a single leaf laid flat.

                    Could it be a lime? Leaves look right, but not sure about tree shape. Whatever it is it is lovely....

                          I thought beech, but not sure, I think it is probably a variety of some kind.
                          bearing in mind the growth habit being very upright.

                          councils tend to go for upright varieties for street planting.
