    Hi,

Planted 3 tree lilly bulbs about 4 years ago into a 15" tub and they give an amazing display, but now gather they should be divided and repotted each year ?

See some comment saying divide in Autumn, so wonder if now is also a good time and what is the best way to divide them, with a spade or manually tease them apart ?

Some of the little bulbils, about 20/25mm, are already virtually loose on the surface, imagine they will take a couple of years to reach flowering size ?

I think I would divide them now as they have been in that pot for a while. Be careful though as lilies start early into growth abd the young shoots are fragile.
I divided some Lilium henryii early Feb and shoots were just below the surface and I broke a couple.
You should be able to tease the bulbs apart by hand as there are probably separate bulbs just with intertwined roots..
