It has a posh name like Yin hong or Hu something like that. It was an impulse buy a few years ago and I have put the label 'somewhere safe'. Produces real whopper buds nice and early.:)

I have grown some from seed (for one of our gardeners who dosen't seem to want them now). They are only about a foot high and took nearly a year to germinate, seems they have a long way to go BM.
    Yours is stunning.

    BM, that looks good. :thumb:

Ours hasn't flowered yet and it looks as though we won't get more than about 8 blooms on it this year. Two years ago we had about 30

Ste. Tree Peonies take about 2yrs to germinate from seed and another 2yrs until they flower so unless you are patient you may have to buy one, usually they are grafted on to shrub peony stock when you buy them, you can layer them but they are not easy.:(
