Hi butterfly, the splindle tree is the native Euonymus Europaeus a small deciduos tree common in hedgerows (whats left of them!).
It is called the spindle tree due to it being used for loom spindles etc. It is also a tree coveted by robins as it is one of their favourite berries. Most Euonymus in gardens are evergreen and from the orient. Does this help? [IMG]
